“The Next Wave” is an award-winning documentary chronicling the journey of surfers Tom Carroll, Dave Rastovich and Kate Skarratt as Dr. Sohrab Gollogly of SurfAid takes them into the heart of the tsunami zone in Indonesia to give them a first-hand look at the damage and the surfing industry’s effort to assist in the disaster relief.

SurfAid is a non-profit humanitarian aid organization whose mission is to improve the health and well being of the people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. SurfAid is incorporated in the US, Australia and New Zealand with their program base in Padang, Indonesia.
