What drew you to appear on “Jump Shipp”?
Pure boredom. I needed a change and didn’t want to be a loser.
Tell us about your experience on the show.
It was time-consuming and challenging at times. Especially when I had to do the “Poster board challenge” because it made me realize how insecure I really am in design, but ultimately it helped me to push myself (which I don’t get to do when I’m working with my dad).
What was the hardest challenge on the show?
Telling my dad that I needed to be selfish.
What made you want to want to pursue your dream?
Annoying customers.
Did you have any apprehension about making the jump?
Both yes and no. Yes because I wasn’t sure if I could fully put myself out there in the design world. No because I know I had the support of my awesome family.
What has life been like after the show?
I have been in charge of the company’s marketing and design. It is a combination of what I sincerely want. My relationship with my dad has strengthened significantly and we are able to be more truthful to one another.
What advice would you give others who are considering a jump?
Do it. Don’t be afraid of what is going to happen next.
