My mother was an old hippie wannabe artist that painted a lot of 60 and 70s retro type stuff. I grew up around art and that is why I am crazy about it. I watch this show religiously. I was disappointed by the segment on the Salk Institute though. A beautiful place, to be sure, but where are the people. The presenter said that those who work there love it, but I would have liked to hear it from them. I'm sure the segment was filmed on a weekend, for whatever reasons, but without the people, it is just another beautiful ruin. I saw a part of the first episode and enjoyed it.
