“4REAL” takes celebrity guests on adventures around the world to connect with young leaders who, under extreme circumstances, are effecting real change on some of the most pressing issues of our time. Celebrity guests for season one include Cameron Diaz, Mos Def, Joaquin Phoenix, Eva Mendes, Casey Affleck, K’NAAN, M.I.A., and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Beyond the exposure that “4REAL” provides, the young leaders featured are partners in the show, with 50 percent of the proceeds going directly to their initiatives.

 

EP 1- City of God
Mos Def travels to Brazil’s City Of God where rap artist MV Bill gives voice to the slum’s youth.

EP 2- Haiti
Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers travels to Haiti where rural health agent, Camseuze Moise, provides medical care to thousands of people.

EP 3- Vancouver
Eva Mendez visits Portland Hotel Society, which services a Vancouver neighborhood overwhelmed with homelessness and addiction.

EP 4- Yawanawa
Joaquin Phoenix travels to the Amazon Rainforest to see the reinvigorated Yawanawa culture.

EP 5- Peru
Cameron Diaz travels to the Andes mountains of Peru where a young medicine man keeps his ancient culture alive.

EP 6- Pawnee
Casey Affleck travels to Oklahoma’s Pawnee Nation reservation where a performing arts group is dialoguing with Native youth about success, leadership and well-being.

EP 7- Liberia
M.I.A. throws a block party in post-war Liberia where child rights advocate Kimmie Weeks is helping young people rebuild their lives.

EP 8- Kenya
K’naan visits the largest slum in East Africa where local hero Salim Mohamed runs a soccer program for more than 4,000 kids.
