Swap, Loan, Share, Trade With these Sites

Access instead of ownership. That’s what Micki Krimmel talked about when we interviewed her about her new venture NeighborGoods – a website that enables neighbors to share, borrow and lend with ease. Her project is one of many that represent a shift in how some Westerners consume. A new book What’s Mine is Yours calls it a shift from 20th-century hyper-consumption to 21st-century collaborative consumption. We decided to dig a little deeper and see what other sharing, swapping, trading, renting, lending and bartering projects we could find.
