The Dalan Nabilan (Towards the Future) photo exhibition, a collaborative effort between UNMIT and Timorese photographers to promote peace and reconciliation through the art of photography, moves to Atauro Island, 25 km north of the capital, Dili, East Timor, on the extinct Wetar segment of the volcanic Inner Banda Arc, between the Indonesian islands of Alor and Wetar. The exhibit has toured throughout Timor-Leste, including Dili, Baucau and Suai. Marino Mouzinho, a member of the UN Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste Public Information Office (UNMIT PIO)’s outreach team, arrives by helicopter on the island to prepare for the exhibit.
