Today Is Human Trafficking Awareness Day

President Obama has declared January National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued a proclamation that declaring January 11, 2010 as Human Trafficking Awareness Day. People are beginning to take notice, the 27 million people currently enslaved around the world are being given a voice through activists and organizations who are fighting trafficking. The month-long campaign culminate in the annual celebration of National Freedom Day on Feb. 1.
