Clooney speaks. Fans worldwide listen. Sabrina and Daniel Schutzsmith act. When George Clooney accepted this year’s Bob Hope Humanitarian award, the Hollywood humanitarian used the spotlight at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards to urge others to step up and keep the proverbial torch of charity burning.

“Here’s hoping that some very bright person right here in the room or at home watching can help find a way to keep the spotlight burning on these heartbreaking situations that continue to be heartbreaking long after the cameras go away,” Clooney implored.

Sabrina and Daniel Schutzsmith responded to Clooney’s call:

“We were watching! We heard your call and we’d like to help!”

To show the celebrity darling their commitment to the cause for causes, the co-founders of Mark & Phil – a marketing agency that offers philanthropic strategy to charities and non-profits, erected a website called DearMrClooney.com with this message:

“We too have been pondering how to keep the public’s attention even after the volunteers have left, the donations have faded away, and the media have lost interest. It’s in that time, when the affected still remain to pick up the pieces… Our offer to you is to help create a system that can do exactly this. We don’t know what it looks like yet but we do know it needs to be the right combination of design, technology, authenticity, simplicity and no bullsh*t.”

This week, @markandphil tweeted: “We’ve got some new stuff planned for http://dearmrclooney.com and a spin-off site for ideation launching this week!”
