More than two dozen celebrities are placing their bets on a good cause later this month. Commerce Casino in LA is hosting the second annual Ante Up! Celebrity Poker Tournament, which will benefit the Children’s Institute. Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress Camryn Manheim will lead the event. “Seinfeld’s” Jason Alexander, Joely Fisher of the hit sitcom “Ellen” and feature film Inspector Gadget, and voice of “The Simpson’s” infamous Moe character Hank Azaria are all confirmed to participate along with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Teri Hatcher, Jaime Kennedy and Ricky Lake.

The event will also raise additional funds through a silent auction of celebrity-donated memorabilia such as a jersey signed by soccer star Landon Donovan, a guitar signed by Kings of Leon and paintings by Patrick McCarthy.

More than 300 players and onlookers are expected to attend. Initial buy-ins go for $250 with a rebuy valued at $100. Spectator seats can be reserved for $75.

Those who cannot make the event in California on Oct. 23rd can still opt to participate in the fundraiser. Organize your own poker tournament at home and follow the footsteps of the stars by donating the winnings to the Children’s Institute or your own charity of choice. Perhaps you could even whip up a silent auction and get a local school or community service chapter involved.
