High-end designer Burberry is no stranger to using technology to debut its collections. This season, the London-based fashion house has partnered with Twitter to develop a “Tweetwalk.” Backstage photos of every look will be taken and shared with Burberry’s followers on Twitter before the models hit the runway beginning today at 4pm BT (11am ET). Lucky Burberry Twitter followers will get a first look at the collection before anyone else.
In addition, Burberry will stream its show – from backstage to red carpet arrivals at Hyde Park – live on burberry.com and Facebook. “Livestreams have also been formatted for viewing on Chinese social networks Sina Weibo and Youku, as well as all major smartphone and tablet platforms.” (via @mashable)
