You don’t have to be rich to donate to the social good equation. Your talents, ideas and willingness to give back are also valuable resources. Here’s another installment of the top social good sites that promote real social change by understanding this concept.
1.) Plywood People
The folks at Plywood People believe that “we will be known by the problems we solve” and we tend to agree. The website lists a number of social causes in need of attention and offers a smorgasbord of realistic ways to get involved. Plywood people utilizes entrepreneurial creativity to harvest social change; opening up the conversation between the privileged and those in need is always on the carte du jour.
2.) Green Tech
Cnet’s “Green Tech” section gives conscientious consumers a peephole for viewing upcoming green tech innovations before they hit the market. “Smart communities,” Ford’s EcoBoost engine and dumpsters with solar panels are some of the recent unveilings.
3.) Teachable Moment
This is an excellent site for educators as it offers free lesson plans for grades K-12 that aim to draw young minds in “be the change” conversation.
