Halogen Welcomes Intern Liza Page
By Cara Davis | September 28, 2012 at 11:32 am
Halogen’s marketing team is excited to welcome our new intern, Liza Page. Liza’s from Washington, N.C. and is majoring in Communication Studies and Religious Studies. Here she answers a few questions so we can get to know her better!
What do you do when you’re not in class or hitting the books?
I love anything that has to do with being on the water whether that is boating, skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, tubing, or anything else. That landscape is absolutely beautiful to me.
What’s on your reading hit list? Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
What’s your favorite show on Halogen?
We have a lot of great new shows coming out soon, but I am really excited for the premiere of “Long Way Round” next week.
What’s one thing you do to “be the change”?
I think one of the easiest ways to “be the change” occurs in the way we conduct ourselves in our everyday lives. Our interaction with others impacts people much more than I often realize it does. There is a quote that says “Remember there is no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” I think that is such a great reminder that I have the capacity to “be the change” even when my actions seem small or insignificant.
What do you hope to gain from this internship?
This is my first experience working in marketing, so I am hoping to gain a lot of knowledge and insight into the way this field works. Everyone who works here has been so great, and after only two weeks, I feel like this has already been such a great learning experience.
