Halogen Element: Beauty

Have you ever stood at the edge of the ocean, at the top of the Grand Canyon, in the midst of the mountains, or even in your rooftop garden and just got swept away by the beauty of it all? There is something about nature that I just love. It makes me feel small but somehow still very connected.

Some say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If that’s true then I think we’re surrounded by it, and I don’t just mean nature – people too! I’ve had the privilege to travel many places in life and I love to get to know new people and learn about their culture and listen to their story. Everyone has a story that matters.

At Halogen we define Beauty not only through the discovery of nature and cultures but also in the delight of art, film, music and design. The world of the arts is a rich resource of creativity and innovation that we believe moves our society forward. We want to highlight artists, filmmakers and designers whom we hope inspire you to see more beauty in the world around you.

Here are a few shows you’ll find as beautiful as they are inspiring:

  • From the creators of the award-winning Paste magazine, “Pop Goes the Culture” is an hour-long arts and entertainment discovery show that seeks signs of life in music, film and culture. Without taking itself too seriously, it takes viewers backstage and behind-the-scenes to uncover most excellent entertainment available today.
  • In the series “Art Race,” two artists set out to cross America surviving only on their art. In the final showdown the artists prepare their end-of-journey gallery shows and learn which one has traded the most to win “Art Race.”
  • “Explore” is a series that personalizes the business of philanthropy while rediscovering the human element. Through gorgeous photography and cinematography, viewers see places where suffering is met with compassion and where the human spirit is kept alive by people who have dedicated their lives to humanity.
